Beckenham and Bromley Chess Club
(incorporating West Wickham Chess Club)
We meet on Wednesday nights from September to June in The Studio at The Parklangley Club
We offer the opportunity for competitive chess at all levels.
We have seven teams in the Kent League and four in the Croydon League.
Internal competitions include a FIDE rated competition for the highest graded players and a handicap competition for all other members.
Social chess is not forgotten, and members often come just to play friendly chess. We also have two fun events: an annual Beckenham vs Bromley match where we divide the club somewhat arbitrarily and a quick play handicap competition at the end of the season.

The second game to end was Anthony Barnett’s. With only 10 minutes left against his opponent’s hour, Anthony achieved a remarkable two-moveContinue reading “Captain’s report: Beckenham and Bromley 5 3-1 Medway 2”
